A Covid-19 victim’s widow blamed his death on President Donald Trump, Texas Gov. Greg Abbot and defiant anti-maskers.

The widow of a coronavirus patient in Texas is blaming President Donald Trump, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, and anti-maskers for her husband’s death.
Stacey Nagy published an impassioned obituary which ran in the Jefferson Jimplecute, according to a note that Nagy wrote on Twitter.
“The blame for his death and the deaths of all the other innocent people, falls on Trump, Abbott and all the other politicians who did not take this pandemic seriously and were more concerned with their popularity and votes than lives,” Nagy wrote.

David Nagy, who died on July 22, is one of nearly 7,000 Texas residents who lost their lives to the novel coronavirus.
Heartbroken over her husband’s death, Nagy’s grieving widow, Stacey, wrote an impassioned obituary, placing the blame on President Donald Trump, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, and what she described as selfish anti-maskers.

“The blame for his death and the deaths of all the other innocent people, falls on Trump, Abbott and all the other politicians who did not take this pandemic seriously and were more concerned with their popularity and votes than lives,” Nagy wrote. “Also to blame are the many ignorant, self centered and selfish people who refused to follow the advice of the medical professionals, believing their ‘right’ not to wear a mask was more important than killing innocent people.”
The obituary ran in the Jefferson Jimplecute newspaper, and could not be found online. Several people have shared photos of the print version of the obituary, which was published on July 30. Jefferson is a city in eastern Texas, about 165 miles from Dallas. It has a population of around 1,961.
Some have tweeted copies of the obituary to Trump.
The obituary says that David Nagy, 79, died in the ICU at Christus Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, Texas.

Nagy leaves behind five children, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, his obituary says.
Stacey Nagy described herself in the obituary as inconsolable, and indicated that her husband had been separated from family during his last days. Medical protocol requires that COVID-19 patients be isolated during their care because of the highly contagious nature of the virus.
Stacey Nagy didn’t immediately respond to Business Insider’s request for comment.
“Dave did everything he was supposed to do, but you did not,” Nagy wrote to the politicians and anti-maskers in the obituary. “Shame on all of you, and may Karma find you all!”
